The station at the Burning Man office in Gerlach recorded 100.5 for a high today.
It didn't break 100 at all last year.
Increasing population capa = playa warming ??

This is cool.

Included is information about the desert surface today. Doesn't tell us what'll be going on in a month (there will be @#$%-loads of dust, the question is--what will the wind do?) . . . but I like it anyway.

Yes!---And there are the days when it is hot and there is less than a 5 mph wind. Stifling. Then it gets windy from the atmospheric cooling when the sun goes down. It's trying to the patience of those who allow it to be and are unprepared for complete reversal of the direction of the wind. Who am I kidding. It's going to be hot a fuck and the wind will come from all points of the compass. All points!!!!

In Illinois, it's been hot as hell. It hit over 100 for like a week straight. It dropped below 90, and we were pulling out our sweaters.

And here we have humidity. Humidity so thick you'd be better off with gills.

I will welcome this 100 degree, DRY heat with open arms.
God Please, don't make me make myself look like a moron...

Wonder if some of the super early setup people could post a playa conditions video every so often. Or they can just say "Conditions same as last week". BMorg needs to add a full-time playameteorologist. Playaologist.

Fuck you're good.... Though I was referring more to the ground conditions (eg. the video of the guy swishing his foot thru 3 inches of playa powder). Doubt that'll change in the next 5 weeks unless they get a lot of rain.

Thx tho -- this is really cool too.
