Know any web sites for this? I just got batteries at dollar tree- brand name. I took 3 pics and my camera died! So I need to get something else.

I use a ton of batteries for my photography, and rechargeables die on me way too fast. Don't ever get them at a dollar store for the reasons mentioned above, but watch places like Walgreens/CVS/Rite-Aid etc for sales. Batteries seem to go on sale at least once a month a those places- get the big pack (for AA it's usually 16-20 batteries). Buying the small packs "to save money" will end up costing you in the long run, unless you really think you'll only use 4 batteries in the next few months. I use 4 batteries every single time I go out (mega flash eats batteries) so I get a couple of big packs at a time.
You really don't want cheap batteries at Burning Man- the last thing you need is for your lights to die right before you go into a JOTS in the dead of the night...

35-80 cents for AA, AAA
AA is cheaper or the same.
80 cents to $1 for C and D cells
I've never had luck with alkalines on a camera.
Newer high output ones may work though.
I've always heard nimh was the way to go.
Lithium is better.
Disposable lithium is about $2.50 in AA.
Lithium packs are always better.
I do have a big nicad or nimh pack, 8 or 12 amps at 12 volts for flash use.
It looks like there are no lithium packs for that camera.
It is new enough to be light sensitive though.
Even shoots raw.
I can shoot with LED lighting or none with my fuji.
I bought a video camera w/zoom and lithium pack for $35.
Lodef but digital tape.
Might be an alternative.
The older a camera, the more power hungry usually.
