Would small cards with a playa map that you could write on and space to write notes on who you met, directions, whatever be useful to bring as gifts?

Why JazminHupp, yes they would. What a great idea.
There is a paper organizer that is printable and customizable. I use one every year to keep track of meet-ups and parties as well as people I want to stay in contact with.
You can customize this one if you wish, then print them and pass them around. There is also a HUGE bonus with this. The front cover can give the person's name, camp info and any other pertinent information, should that person need any medical attention or pass out drunk (or worse) along the way.

Making a nice stack of these and passing them out would be an awesome playa gift.
