We are fortunate enough to have plywood Smoky signs at all of our local F.D. H.Q.'s, featuring little hangup plaques with the burn hazard listed as "low", "high", and "moderate". A handy tip for fire control- burn in a pit and keep old sheets of corrugated steel handy to chuck on top if the wind kicks up- Or, make a firebox out of corrugated and steel t-stakes (fenceposts) to lurk around on those chilly nights (if you have 'em...). Just don't use the painted sheets, or the smoke will lessen the number of bonfires that you will live to enjoy.......
