PAYMENT DEAL: I know there's been a lot of scammers out there, and I think 99.9% of Burners are trustworthy. So, here's the deal -- you pay me after Burning Man. I know, I'm taking a risk, but it's one I can live with.
I have 2 STEP tickets to get at Will-Call, but the plan for who'd use the other one (i.e. the one I'm not using) fell through. I'm planning to stay in Reno Monday night, driving into BRC Tuesday morning. So I can then leave your ticket at the window in your name (see below). Or, you're welcome to ride along with me -- I'll be leaving from Martinez, CA. Could come pick you up if it isn't too far. Casino rooms are very cheap ... and if you convince me you are a nice but financially need person, you could sleep in my room (but we would not be sharing a bed). If we're doing more than just selling the ticket, we'd need to be in touch to make sure we're both comfortable with each other.
Here is the Q and A on Burning Man's web page about STEP tickets. You will see that the name on the order cannot be changed, but one ticket may be left for the second person:
Q: Can I transfer tickets I buy through STEP to somebody else after I buy them?
A: No, tickets purchased through STEP are non-transferable. Both tickets will be held at Will Call under the name of the purchaser. If both parties are arriving separately, the buyer of the ticket may collect both tickets and then leave the second under the other name at the Will Call window..
Note: Pd. $390 for the ticket, but it's getting close to the date and I see the market has fallen. I hope the scalpers are losing at least their shirts.
