Declining a STEP ticket

I can't seem to find the answer to this question anywhere - I received a STEP email but I already have my ticket. Is there any way of declining it to expedite the process, or do I just have to wait and let it expire? Given that STEP is closing soon, it would suck just to sit on it for several days when there are people waiting.

There's not. I was in the same situation and asked someone in the org.

What DrYes said. Someone had suggested to me earlier that people could expedite things by declining the ticket, but I didn't have a way to see the screens or verify a process before passing that along.
