Are we rejects among rejects? Are we not going to be able to participate in the STEP program? Or is BMORG just a bit slow notifying us.

yeah, ticket rejections are being emailed by the same IT wizards who brought you gems like forms.burningman, the bmorgs own ride share system and the on-playa registration (now with fewer users!).

these are the same people who, in the age of unlimited cloud computing resources available to rent by the hour, decided to hold a ticket lottery because their servers were being overloaded by 30k concurrent users. what do you expect?
