Wiki says 2012 tix capped at 56,500

Well, if it is the cap it shouldn't be hard to get a ticket. I hope.

That number is just an interpolation from the 70,000 maximum population in 2016 to the 50,000 population in 2010.

If you read the information that's been on the Ticket Info page since mid-November, you'd see the breakdown. 3,000 tickets in the pre-sale, 40,000 tickets in the main sale, and an additional 10,000 tickets in the secondary sale in March (which will also contain any leftovers from the main sale). That gets you to 53,000 tickets. Then, looking at the bottom of the page there's a section on Low Income tickets. That program is changing this year (combining the old low income + the scholarship programs). Total # of low income tickets isn't specified, but they do say that it will be more than last year's combined total of 3,500 - that brings the total number of tickets to 56,500.

All I'm commenting on is the 56,500 number, which was gleaned from the published sources. I'll leave it to the pundits and the blogosphere to speculate and jump to their own conclusions. Know that neither the BMOrg nor BLM publishes that info prior to the event (if at all).

Actually, there will only be 56,499 tix available cause I'm getting one of them.

56,499 minus my allotment of 2 = whatever number of tickets sold not including my allotment of 2 -> makes me happy
