$1.01 charge only?!?

I was charged $1.01 from Burning Man at 4:21pm; however, I did not get a confirmation email and the near $900 I was expecting to be missing is still there. What's up?!?

Lots of times, the small charge is like a test charge. I just checked, and I have two pending charges:
$1.01 from Black Rock LLC.
$439.00 from Black Rock LLC.

But you have both there for you . Were they separated by hours? Minutes? Days? I'm just being paranoid that they got one charge through but not the second for some reason

Not days. I checked it this morning. but my online account doesn't post times, so I have no idea.

The pre-sale drawing is still in process. You'll receive an email confirmation one way or the other once either the transaction or the drawing is complete.

Thanks for the replies guys. I appreciate it. I was understandably excited when I saw the charge, but am nervous too. JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE...I know. :?

The $1.01 charge is the standard method to test that the card/data is real and functional. If it goes through then they make the real transaction. Typically the test charge gets deleted.
Basic b/e analysis:
2005 $243K
06 $855K
07 $1.0M
08 $1.1M
09 $0
10 $1.1M
11 $1.2M
12 $1.2M
That’s $6.8M that thousands of volunteers deserve to know about. Capitalism is alive at BM. Tickets are the commodity. Others have estimated higher profits.

And here I was thinking, "Wow, the surprise random low income ticket lottery is really, really low income!"
I'm too jaded to think up a good sig-line. Need more coffee.
