If you want to compare the past timeline for BLM permitting, discussions were in December and the actual permit wasn't even issued until March. So.. we could be waiting a little while for this..

I think there might be a 30-day wait on the EA, but nothing like 90 on an action this small. I think it's more like a "we agree to let you have the event here in principle, but we have to work out some of the details" type deal. However, this is my impression of the status, not something I've heard from BLM or the llc.

The 'bearing capacity' you speak of has NOTHING at all to do with the limited numbers set forth in the BLM permit.

Bearing capacity is a geophysical term and related to a the ability of the ground to support a specific amount of weight. Bearing capacity is a moot point when you consider that there are multiple points on the Lahontan lake bed where the sediment depth is in excess of 7000 meters.

If you meant 'carrying capacity' that too is a moot point. Carrying capacity is a bio/ecological term that that defines the ability of ecological zone to sustain a certain number of members of a given species - if memory serves me.

In either case it isn't part of the calculus in issuing the permit.
