I figured since it didn't have a chain, that was a good thing...

Due to the center of gravity being on the back wheels, and the drive wheel being in front, I would predict that it would sit in one place while scooping dust into the rider's face.

Probably not well. Those wide rear tires will get slowed down by the deep playa dust.
