Im wondering how realistic it is to find a ride using this. Has anyone done it?

I've heard of good success. But don't wait for someone to ask you - chase down rides from the rides offered part.

Moving this over to the share resources board, since That's a better fit for rideshare threads. Do post on the main rideshare board, but if you want any real hope at all of making a ride connection, you'll do stuff like specify your travel dates and where you need a ride from, and maybe mention what kind of gear you're traveling with (or if offering a ride and looking for shares, how much space you have for hauling).
