Also, come to our Thursday night party! Lineup has yet to be 100% finalized, but previous years have seen headliners like Beats Antique, Random Rab, ill.Gates, Kaminanda, and more. This year we're starting early with a sake party to get everyone in party mode.

And look for our art car as well, the Crystal Ship. No rides denied as long as we have room for one more.

Yup, it's true. DeMentha has been moved slightly this year. We're now at 3 o'clock & Dandelion.

We'll still have the same Minty Goodness to serve up every afternoon though. Mojitos & music from 1ish until at least 6ish (or later if the day's rum ration lasts & the DJs are still spinning).

As ever, we particularly love being a neighbourhood party. We enjoy it when people come all the way across the playa to visit (which happens regularly), but we're mostly there for you guys, our neighbours. Drop by for a drink, stay for the music & the misting.

Talking of drinks.... every year our highly professional (*ahem*cough*) bar staff assess our previous years' mojito consumption before planning our ingredient purchases. In five days of parties you people drink a lot! We fill a van with the stuff. We're getting pretty good at it and only occasionally do we run low on rum, soda, sugar & mint leaves.

That said, it does happen. In those rare circumstances, if the party is still kicking & people want drinks, we sometimes ask for donations to the bar. We are always very, very grateful to whoever has anything to share.

So here's a little experiment... if you're packing your stuff to come to the playa and have space for an extra bottle of white rum, or some soda water, or sugar, or even some nice fresh mint leaves... please think of us. It'll make you everyone's very bestest friend if we run low one afternoon and you pull it out for all to share.

I have been with the Siberian Electric Company, on 3:00 for 3 years now, Planning on 2012, wondering who is coming from our hood? VW Bus camp? Voodoo Shooting? Walter? Moist? Flattery Camp? Creme Dementia? Who's in??????? Hoping the best for everyone and the pizza oven kids who ever they are.

Well, we are at 3 & D this year, as is DeMenthe. Camp Walter is ( I believe ) at 3 & E ? Campo Alegre and Cafe Negro are also at 3 & E !!!

Illumination Village, one of the oldest and most-flammable villages in BRC, expects to be placed near 3:30 & Esplanade.

We will have a much larger Esplanade presence this year, with a Fire Garden (many fun toys), a tall light sculpture/navigational aid, and a Fire Stage with a 30' Aerialist tripod, poofers, and an excellent sound system, where we will host nightly performances.

Blaqua is in the 3:15 region again this year; this time on Dandelion.

For 2012, our camp is offering Blink -- The game that’s over in the blink of an eye! Blink is an interactive staring competition anyone can play. There is only one rule: the first player to blink loses. We'll be capturing the action on webcams and projecting it on screens for onlookers to see at night. Overseeing all of the festivities will be “The Maestro” our snarky animatronic fish. Players and competitors alike are encouraged by The Maestro to distract contestants any way they see fit. Since the game only has one rule, you can’t cheat, although we encourage you to try. Our aquarium lounge area will serve as a space for spectators to taunt, distract, and cheer competitors! Prizes will be handed out to the winners. Our aquarium lounge will be available all week, 24/7 for anybody to stop by and relax. Come by anytime, but From Thursday - Saturday evenings we'll be running Blink Competitions and looking to crown a champion.

I'm not sure how it's working out with the lotus petal thing being how they organize the reserved areas, but prior to this year, further out areas were not reserved.

You will be able to camp in this neighborhood, outside the shaded sections, without a camp. There's plenty of room if you arrive earlyish!
