Project: Shady Asylum needs your help!

We're a group of nearly two dozen burners from Minneapolis, Seattle, Oakland, and London who would love to bring Shady back out to the burn again this year. It's an art project available all day to everyone, located at our theme camp Gitmo Shade (to help us take care of it and so it can be near its water). We've been accepted for placement and have all the knowledge, drive, and skills to make this happen, but all we need is this last push of funding to help us get back to the playa. Shady has been in BRC in some form for all the years 2000 through 2007 and we've love to have it make its return for Fertility 2.0. If you like what you see, please let us know, and if you really like what you see, please consider sharing our kickstarter link in any other groups that you think might want to know about it. Giving this a bump - the original post sat patiently in quarantine while we confirmed that yes, this project was legitimate and yes they had special approval to actually bring grass to the playa. Yes, getting such an approval is a very rare thing - the fact that they've gotten it is a testament to the great lengths the folks behind Shady Asylum have gone in years past, and plan to go this year in order to make this happen. Thank you so much for the help, everyone! We've got just over 9 days left on the project and have only $780 dollars left to raise! The shade netting walls and regular watering keep the sod alive all week, and the evaporation during the day (combined with the shade netting walls) drop the internal temperature of the tent by a surprising amount.
