Mayan Tricycle needs a Kickstart to ride the Playa

For Burning Man 2012, I want to build a great big wooden "hamster wheel" that people can run in that will roll inside an even larger wooden wheel all connected to an odometer to show the workings of the Mayan Calendars. The Mayan Tricycle will stand 22'+ tall, have gears meshing with gears and the whole thing will burn down a week later.

It's more complicated than it sounds and is gonna cost us $6-7k to make. We've launched a Kickstarter site to raise funds to defray part of the cost, and we're asking for you to contribute to make it happen. We are a little past the half-way point but the clock is counting down rapidly and if we don't hit the taget in a couple weeks, we get nothing and the project just won't happen.

The Mayan Tricycle is NOT a Burning Man Funded Art Project. It is an indepenantly funded project, meaning we are relying on our friends and the community to help us raise the money we need to build it.
