ice in a swamp cooler

Has anybody used ice in a swamp cooler to cool the water, would it make the air cooler coming out of it.

It's not very cost affective or needed.
Once the cooler has been running for 20 minutes, the water temp will be about 58 degrees.
This was the water temp when the outside temp was 100 degrees.
