Three bins of clothing, and only about one bin's worth worn.
Last year I figured out that just because it's Burning Man doesn't mean I'm suddently going to like frilly, excessively furry, or neon stuff. And I don't like stockings, which I find to be uncomfortable.
This year I learned that I also should leave dresses behind and just stick to more versatile, interchangable items like skirts, shorts, leggings, tank tops and jackets. Also, I spent a bunch of time over the past couple of years making a fur hat, flowery headbands, and a decorated sunhat, but since I wear my hair in two buns on top of my head all week none of them have been used. Instead I tie pieces of lace, scarves, or bandanas around my head as headbands, which serve to keep my hair smoothed back and add decoration.
Gloves, arm warmers and leg warmers are also essentials for me because they can be easily stuffed in my bag and then accessed as needed as the night (or early morning) gets colder.
I think I've come to terms with the fact that I don't wear non-functional accessories or uncomfortable clothing on the playa.
