The best thing is, I wore it to work this morning and this lady in my department loved it and loved the colors. So, I gave it to her.
She is SOOOO happy, she is been showing it around to few people and even modelled for me

The pattern will follow both front and back. I need a shoulder clasp or some kind of hold that would open/close. I have googled to my knowledge of where I could find such a clasp.
Not knowing technical names for things doesn't help either.

I've googled "shoulder clasp" myself but didn't find anything..
Although, I searched for "beading forums" and found sites such as this one that seem pretty active. I would bet that making the same type of post there would yield better/great results..
DanusLight wrote:wh..sh, can you explain, what is in your head for the dark shoulder area where you want the clasp to be? Please try to put into words if you can .. thanks !!

It's fun isn't it?
Now. Get over to FireMountain, as Eric already suggested, and check out their wares. Under clasps, you have a thing called a slidelock which, although not identical to the clasp you've shown, is just what you might need!

And they do ship. I've bought loads from them.
Do you have a good fishingtackle box yet? If not, get yourself a good one. A big one.
You're going to need it before too long. (just trust me on that one)
delle wrote:I didn't catch the drift of your shoulder thing until now..... The earlier clasps were more for attaching. THIS might be interesting:

It would allow you to continue the beading thru around the back of the neck (or not), but tapering in to the slidelock (2 threads per loop at the finish?)

By missing you mean my drawing skills (which is clearly non-existent)?
Drawingablank wrote:What if you terminate both ends in strand separators. Affix the outer edge together and use just a simple clasp on the inner edge. That should allow the neck to open enough to fit over your head, yet retain the appearance of the original design (the reddish orange radial lines in the original pic appear to be separators).
