This is one of the reasons I am adamantly opposed to defining sexual identity in such limited terms as gay/straight/bisexual. In addition, the confusion of defining is further exacerbated by people who are f2m, m2f, sexually ambiguous, gender bending, or any other of the multitudes of ways we express self/sex/gender as humans. I am attracted to people, men, women, undefined…there can be love and lust between any two people is the chemistry is right.
For instance, I watched two of my wonderful friends get married last summer. My friend liz, a sef proclaimed womyn, raging liberal, dyke, lesbian, feminist, and gender bender stood beneath a chupah across from her now husband eric, a fruity, feminine, raver boy and assistant manager of a retail store. They fell in love and built a chemistry, not based on gender or sexual identity, but attraction to a single person, in a single moment. They’re happier than most people I know because they were true to themselves and didn’t let anything else get in the way.
Ok…getting off my soap box…
I just wanted to acknowledge the validity of FT’s statement. :hug
