fixing my giant battery

I have one of these, but it's broken.

I think someone plugged in something that required too much load and fried some part of the electronics. Do you think it can be fixed or refurbished some how? Where would I go to get an estimate for something like that?

Take it to your local e-waste and lead acid recycling center. Do not just throw it in the garbage.

Get a new one. Sad to say that these are not servicable items.

Call duracell's toll free number and ask. The number's on the unit isn't it? If not, google's your friend.

It could be electronics or electrical or the battery, which is most likely.
I have seen plug issues.

They can be serviced, but whether it is worth the trouble is another thing.

Some are nicad or nimh, most are agm or gel cells.

That reminds me - in addition to the 800 number, I'd track down AEZ's website and ask about it there. It _may_ be they can fix it for you and charge it on the playa. It's a risk, but that's the nature of Burning Man.
