How can I stabilize my tiki torches?

First time heading out and I want to make sure my tikis don't blow away. My sister was out there a week ago and said the ground was hard, not sure if I can get them into the ground or what to do. Can anyone offer some wisdom?

Tiki Torches, Candles & Lanterns

Winds pick up without warning and blow things over -- tent fires have started due to tiki torches, candles and lanterns being blown over in or around tents. Tiki torches are restricted to The Esplanade, the pedestrian boulevard at the fron of our city; Villages; in our Center Camp; and within the two Plazas on 2500' at the 90° and 270° intersections. We are tentatively allowing their reintroduction only in specific pre-approved locations along the esplanade. Unattended candles are discouraged and safe use of lanterns is encouraged.

EDIT: the above is a cut and paste. Yes, these things do blow over in hard winds and have set tents tarps and other things on fire. They would look very cool, but unfortunately they will cause fires within the city.

Some people who did NOT get the word on not having tiki's, is Home Depot in Reno. They have stacks of them set up every year with a fancy Burning Man sign next to them. They must be wondering why they haven't sold any in years!

Use a propane tiki torch with a short tank.
Stabilize as needed.
Tank is the base.

Or you need an involved post to keep a standard one stable.

well...the method i use for anything i might have that has a hollow pole/post...i hammer down rebar...then i slide the pole/post/bar over it...like a sleeve..but also on top of that ill use lines to keep IT down...
