Louise gutted a toaster oven, filled the interior with lights, put a transparency in the window of the door and VOILA! a lighted logo to show ourselves on the playa.

If those bulbs have enough wattage, it might! My first oven worked on that same principle.

Yeah, I remember those "Easy Bake Oven"s hockey puck cakes.
Heat lamp or IR lamp can cook bacon or pizza. You can cook baby chicks with heat lamps if you don't set them high enough...

that's quite neat...
i guess its useful for keeping food warm, too, if those bulbs give off enough infrared...
