To cut or not to cut that is the question

This will be my first year with a monkey hut on the playa.Should i cut the ribs down on the hut so the tarp is on the playa or leave it be.

I can support cutting.. oh.. wait.. monkey hut.. err.. that case not to, I'd think.

i opted to cut so that i could nail the tarp down directly into the playa w/o string attached to said nails. Less air movement, but also less kite effect.
