I am constructing a pvc / knotted rope dome. the step by step guide i have says use 3/8" rope. is there a specific rope that works better than another? thank you and i will take my answer off air.

Nylon, unless you want to go to a yacht shoppe and pay extra for fancy synthetic boat roap.
