I have a 70% shade tarp.. its a tight woven plastic material. whats the best way to hang stuff from this? the best i got right now is to use 2" pieces of copper wire to try and hook into it. anyone got a better idea?

You can use these handy dandy tarp clips:
they had these same clips at home depot.
or you can use a bottle cap, wrap a corner of the material around the cap then tye a rope around the cap & fabric.

Run a rope catty corner across the bottom side of the shade and hang stuff from that.
If you do a big X it will cut down on the shade flapping.

FJ is right, count on your tarp flapping around in the wind. That means that whatever you secure to the tarp is going to go fuck haywire. What's holding up your tarp? Hang things from that instead.

What? Give a fer instance. It's hard to give meaningful help when there's no clue about weight or size or deadliness.
If you're hanging a bowling ball from the tarp, tie a tennis ball in the tarp before you set it up, set up the tarp, tie a rope above the ball and then strap the bowling ball to that. Just be sure your ball is securely tied into the tarp.
Smaller objects in the tarp may support lighter weights.
