It's called "Squaw Valley Creek Reservoir."
My understanding is it's private property, but, the owners allow camping and fishing. There are no facilities. So no MOOP/leave no trace applies.
There's an unlocked gate that you can gain entrance through...just be sure to close it each time you enter or exit as there maybe livestock grazing. There's also an information sign near the gate. The little lake is on the right as you drive south from the California line
The place was packed this past Memorial Day weekend.
I'm planning to go there for a weekend, before the first snow....there or Pahranagat Lake near Alamo.
