Nah... If it's only exposed to the UV a week out of the year, barring it being shreded by the wind, it should last 3-4 years.

Quality varies.
Polyester, polyethylene, UV stabilized nylon, UV blocking tarps...
It all matters.
My polyester tent fly has barely faded after thirty years.
Too bad I don't have the rest.
