Water?

What do you eat and drink on the playa? Share ideas, recipes and advice here.

Water?

I read in the guide that water had to be from an approved source. I don't remember reading what that means. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I presume store-bought gallon jugs are fine? What about bottling my tap water?

Sorry if it's a stupid question, I just don't want to arrive and be turned away for not having approved water!

That is pertaining to water given to others. What you bring for your own consumption is your business.

but keep in mind, that you can buy all your water in Reno if your passing through.
Less weight until the last leg of the drive. I top off the RV @ the KOA before leaving. 8+lbs/gal 8) :shock: 8)

Don't bring defaultia to Burning Man, take Burning Man to defaultia...... graidawg

I don't recall reading that, or at least not as I am understanding it from your post. I'm thinking the warning is so that you are only drinking potable water as opposed to grey water or the dirty unsafe for drinking, like the water that they use to keep the dust down on the playa.

The Gerlach General Improvement District will again be selling water in Gerlach. The economy in Gerlach sucks, they can use your business.

Yup, they leave that 0.1% in there intentionally to give it a bit of a kick...plus, if you drink enough of it you'll glow on the playa!

I will forgive Gerlach its radioactive water, and not refuse them patronage. Plus, maybe it will be like being bitten by a radioactive spider. I'm bringing a web-slinging kit just in case.
