Hi all,

I am collecting coffee cans for part of a project I am doing for Burning Man 2005. I am specifically looking for 1- and 3-lbs metal coffee cans *with lids.*

I will be present and able to collect cans at SF, LA and OC/SD decompression (tm) events. I would be quite grateful if you had any to bring. There will also be other times throughout the eyar I will able to pick tem up in various locations, or if you would like to ship them I wouldn't say no.

If you have questions, please feel free to email or message me. I will try to have something nice for everyone who contributes cans.

Aren't you guys just a little curious as to what Ivy is going to do with all those coffee cans? Here's my Top 3 List o' Possibilities...

#1. Something that bugs the shit out of the coffee crowd in center camp.

Why don't you bring me some coffee cans and find out? I am of the mind that can contributers will receive some sort fo "front of the line" pass to experience all the goodness these cans will have to offer.

Unfortunately, I seem to be the only non-coffee-drinker in Seattle. That won't stop me however; I'm lookin' 'round.

It's not artillery. Nor anything that could concieveably fall under the category of weapons, bombs, or anything violent in nature.

Hey, I have this really bad tendancy of trusting everyone at least once, even when my gut tells me I shouldn't ... because my gut is basically not very trusting and I takes willpower to override it.

So, what does that say? It says ... I am looking for coffee cans. A guy at work is bringing me a couple. My coffee comes in bags.

Ha. "Round here being a coffee drinker wont help, because if you're a proper Bay Area Coffee Drinker, you buy your beans in a bag, grind them yourself and keep them in the freezer!

I Imagine that that crowd puts in an apperrence up north too.

They don't need to necessarily have housed coffee products. #10 cans and the like are also acceptible--as long as they have those plastic lids. The lids are vital to the project. Most tin cans have tin lids, not the snap-on plastic ones. The most common form of this I see is for coffee, hence, "coffee cans" and not just "tin cans."
