The Sad Tale of My Burning Man Ticket Need Advie

I've had a terrible week, it sounds almost like a country music song. My fiancé threatened to leave me if I went to
Burning Man without him and when I told him I wasn't going to go, he dumped me anyway! I sold the ticket but on the way to the post office, long story short, the ticket got destroyed. It was one of those crazy, freak things that happen. I still have my receipt and although didn't take any money from the buyer but I want to help him get to BM. Is there anyway they will accept the receipt or let me switch it to will call?

Short answer: hell no. Period.

They can't let you switch the ticket to Will Call because there's no way to invalidate your paper ticket, but when you say "destroyed" what do you mean? Even if it's torn into a few pieces, I suspect that they would accept it at the gate, especially with the receipt.
