Hello-

My name is Kevin, I am looking forward to my 5th burn. I live in Oakland, am clean, responsible, and prioritize clear communication. I enjoy dancing, electronic music, art in general, health, good food and friends.

I have an extra ticket available in exchange for the right situation for my girlfriend and myself. We are looking for an RV (even better if it includes a ride from East Bay) in a camp where we can comfortably cook and sleep for the week. We really enjoy the pre-dawn/sunrise hours, so we're going to try to take a nap mid-day and then sleep like 10pm-3 or 4am, if possible. So AC in the RV would be a plus. We like to cook and keep things clean. We're also planning on cooking most meals ahead of time this year and vacuum sealing. We're happy to help with anything we can-setup, tear-down and I am looking for opportunities to volunteer and collaborate, if you have a project. We're into fitness and would like to set up our portable workout station (outdoors).

We're happy to split costs on shared consumables (gas, propane if applicable, etc.) and plan to bring our own water, food, and everything else. A working shower is essential.

We really feel like we would be a great addition to the right camp. Please PM me with some details about your camp and vision for the week.

Not really. If you rent an RV, and are heading to Burning Man, you are already out the money. It is a sunk cost. The marginal cost of adding two more people is not much extra gas, and possibly a gray water pump (If they take daily of showers), and the OP offered to pay for gas, so...

And what's your point? He wants space in an RV for two, with all the benefits an RV carries, for lodging. He doesn't want an RV-conditioned ride to the playa. Any car could do that; any rideshare would do. The ticket gives him more leverage to negotiate some space in an RV to lodge for the entire trip.

Weighing in as moderator, there's nothing wrong with what the seller is setting as an asking price (in reference to the scalping comment).

Personally (in reference to the counter-offers) in such a seller's market it does seem odd to try and carry out a negotiation on a public forum, but good luck regardless.

I've got an RV with space avail. Attending is a last minute deal for me, will know for sure by 23rd, possibly by 20th. I am going solo for trip in for now, possible pick up of ticketed stragglers. My friends are at another established camp I may or may not stay at.

I will need thorough verification of the validity of your arrangement, but sounds pretty straight up. Would want to meet in Gerlach (I'm coming from considerably north of there).
