How long is it taking everyone to get tickets verified?

I'm just wondering what to expect, so I can keep my potential seller updated. Thanks! :D

Yes, I would like to know this as well in case I do finally get a hit.

Hey, so the way I've been doing it is using searchtempest to search ALL of craigslist, not just my own area. I refresh every ten minutes or so. I also have new eplaya topics sent to my email. I tried Google Reader, but I found that it lagged pretty hard.

Expect a response from the partiserv email within 24-48 hours. Lots of requests coming in, but BMOrg has a very badass amphibious ticket minion :)

OOOOOH I dont wanna wait 48 hours!! Come ooooon verifier. Momma needs a new pair of Playa-covered-shoes!

Dont give up guys. They're out there. You just have to be stalker-ific when posts go up. (here's to hoping I didn't just jinx myself too).

k, the problem is nobody wants to wait for the verification. I just walked from a deal that I'm 99% sure is legit because I'm afraid of the scam. Still waiting for confirmation of ticket. I know when I get it tomorrow and it's real, I'm gonna cry

oh well. back to hunting.

I think that's what has been scaring sellers away from me... I notice that a lot of ads make it seem like they want the exchange to happen yesterday, and in my initial email I ask for the verification information and ask them to meet up in a couple days so I have plenty of time to get a response... I realize this is a silly question, it is coming from a place of panic: Would a decent compromise between impatient sellers and wary buyers be to expect the original receipt sent with the ticket upon pickup?

I dont know what the answer is. the girl i was dealing with was happy to provide me the verification info in the first (well, second after the "yes it's still available") email, sent me a picture of the ticket with the receipt (name and address chopped off in the pic tho....). She seemed very upfront with everything except for giving out her home address which i understand. But still... with no verification, I got scurred and backed off.

I need to stop reading the "watch out for this scammer" stories. It's like watching a thriller and then staying home alone in a cabin in the woods during a rain storm.

Expect responses in 24 to 48 hours is the standard mantra. Somedays, I get a response in a couple hours; today seemed the longest at 10 hours.

If sent in over the weekend, it could take a bit longer (since there's the whole of the weekend backlog to get to).

I would just like to say that if I was selling a ticket (which I am not), then I would certainly not be giving out verification codes to a stranger before taking payment - there seems to have been a number of issues where this is undertaken on good faith and the potential buyer has then backed off and used the codes to try and scam others...

Paypal only guys, and paypal with the buyer protection with that only relates to business transactions - the personal marked transactions do not have buyer protection
