Behold, the Magic Button!
Okay, so it's just a link to an advanced search results. But it feels like magic.
Ticket Sellers
- When creating your threads, please start your subject line with OFFERED: and it will automatically (no, automagically) appear in the results when people use the magic button link.
- When you've sold your tickets, LET US KNOW! Edit your message and change the OFFERED: to **SOLD** and we'll get the thread locked.
Ticket Buyers
- We would really like for you to please stop creating 'need-a-ticket' threads, as they are jamming up the boards. And during this time of year, ticket sellers just aren't seeing and reading them. Your best bet is to PM the seller with your info/details, and then reply in the ticket seller's thread to express your interest (or tell your story). For your own sake, please do not put your email address and phone number in the forum thread in a normal fashion (415-555-1212 or sendmespam@someaddress.com). We get hit pretty regularly by spammers and spambots with lots of cheesy offers, and if they can do that then they can dig through the forums looking for info that gets used to send additional spam or carry out phishing attacks.
- If you're determined to post a 'need-a-ticket' thread anyway, do not use OFFERED: in your subject line. It interferes with the above-mentioned magic, and we'll have to change your subject line. If you're offering a ride or some other enticement to would-be sellers, use 'offering' or 'can offer' in your subject line instead.
- Good luck!
