36 ft dome for tickets

I have a 36 foot dome/with cover and can set it up/tear it down and transport it to the playa.. I have no personal need of it this year, and hate to see it go to waste (it really needs the dust for its health), I would offer this to someone who has two tickets and early entry. I am certainly open to negotiation, but i am not just loaning the use of it- i am offering total transportation of the 260 metal conduit pipes that are up to six feet in length and take up a whole truck bed, full set up and tear down on the playa.. Its alot of work to be honest...

This one is a little smaller and can be bought outright for less than $3500.
Even a 36 foot couldn't go over $6000, unless it had a better covering or something.

Early entry passes are for those who are going in to WORK. If you're going in to work, then you'll deserve and earn an early pass. Pretty easy concept. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities available if you're wanting to get in early and work.

Let me rephrase that. Tickets, much less early entry, are likely to be valued at higher than your dome. Go to plan b.

If a pass is going to be used to set up a dome or equivalent, they might have a shot.
Few camps seem to have enough these days though.

But yeah the early entry was intended for us to set up the dome, usually takes a day-or two depending on weather- and i would consider it work :-/ for the two people who will set it up, and of course help anyone with anything else they need. I certainly appreciate that early entry is to work and find that to be one of the most enjoyable things about the whole week! and not something that is needed of course..

the dome is metal... not pvc like the picture looks like.. that would be alot cheaper and easier!

If a camp wanted a dome (we already have one);
and if the dome came with transport/set-up/teardown (ours takes 5 experienced folks and a woman with a whip~6 hours to set-up & ~3 hours to strike);
it could be worth it to said camp to give 2 tix/EA passes to have a playaproven, lovely shady spot for camp shenanigans...

the only issue is that theme camps have already submitted their plans, and EA requests...

I pretty much expect that most people who have early entry, a) have shade structures of their own, and b) could set this one up in half the time.

$600 for the use of a dome for a week and a half seems steep to me. And then early entry is gold. Very few camps, volenteer departments and artists feel that they have enough EATs, and what they have they want to use to build camps, art, the city. I don't see it working.
You got about 100 days before the gates open. You need to earn about $650. That's six or seven dollars a day. If you dawdle, it'll be 12, or 20. Or more. Especially as the early entry passes have not been bestowed yet. If you don't have your tickets by the time they are, in August, you might have to earn $50 a day.
Plan b. Your plan a is a dicey proposition at best.

I am not trying to ask for hand outs or mooch in any way... I work hard for everything i have and value it so much more that way.. And know that if this does not work out i will continue to work hard and provide tickets for myself if need be and the dome will miss the dust this year.
A metal skinned dome would kick ass i must say!!!! but no like most serious geodesic domes it has metal conduit pipes that make up its frame..
