chill daytime dj needed...

Camp Tweet n Chill is in need of a daytime chillspace dj.

Playing will start sometime around mid-day...the space has:

a couple powered professional speakers to a mixer, to a newmark digital DJ turntable setup that let's you use the turntables to sync the beats and apply various effects. It attaches to a laptop with a usb cable and also has fast internet access on the playa. The dj software is called traktor...

I'm a beginner DJ with no live performance experience, but I practice a lot and am getting pretty good.

I don't use turntables and instead use Ableton Live 8 on a Mac with an Akai APC40 midi controller for seamless mixing and beat matching.

I'll play whatever you like from house, dubstep, top40, and even hip hop.

it's not a dance space, more of a get the hell outta the dust storm/sun/cold/rain space...

if you can make the dome be a place for people to come in and relax, cool, send me more info...

but it's not a dance space. got nothin against dance music, you'll find me freaking out all night long, but this space is
just asking for something else.

Hello, djMOM here. just my thing actually. I started djing in '93.

There are downtempo and dnb mixes, so for this purpose, disregard the dnb ones. my favorite is "while he sleeps, i dream of bed".

I will only be bringing a jump drive and possibly cd's. I am also a Ranger and have signed up for my shifts so I have somewhat limited availability. I've only started today seeking dj slots since some confirmed dj's don't have tickets.

We have a dedicated chill space at Transmorphagon, 3 & Esplanade... I think we are doing both chill and we have a live setup throughout the evening ...

Our Art car is only going to be playing the more downtempo... its looking rather spiffing...

This was the camp that had the Pandora chill space right? I was s'posed to play a sunrise set last year but there was an equipment failure. Would love to come chill out with ya'll. I posted above on my music situation if you're still looking for folks. Otherwise, I'll see ya'll in the dust!
