At Burning Man 2011, we're colonizing the last quiet space left deep in the walk-in camping area, near the perimeter fence, the first installation permitted in this area -- and building an amazing 35' tall crystalline shelter made entirely of interlocking wood, with no metal connectors or glue. A place to find shelter and comfort and quiet, to watch the sunrise or the sunset. In fact, the Otic Oasis was just awarded Burning Man's 2011 Community Service Honorarium! ("This rare honor is granted when a project meets the criteria of a civic installation benefiting all citizens of Black Rock City.")
