Bike Course looking for old BMX tropy

we'd like to have an event out at our bicycle obstacle course and give out some prizes. Anyone have a old bike trophy or 2?

Why restrict yourself to bicycle trophies? There are horse trophies, soccer trophies, auto trophies, even "lady golf" trophies. Repurpose!

Good point. First thought was that a bike trophy ties in nicely to our piece but I can see how this would work. Thanks.

I have a plexiglass paperweight in the shape of an oil barrel with a big green tablespoon of oil inside it, given to employees or partners or someone by chevron. My all time favorite piece of incentivising garbage that I ever saw was a hunk of concrete, taken from a particular overpass that was given to some CalTrans guy at retirement. I didn't buy it because I had a couple of hours of greyhound riding for me to get home, but it was obviously cool enough that 15 years later, I still remember.

Good luck with the bike course. Last time my camp had their Ramp of Death along the Esplanade -- just a short 2x6 sitting on a 4x4 block -- some guy broke his shoulder falling off the thing.

Ug. That's what we're worried about. I'd hate for someone to be seriously injured. But at the same time, there are about 10,000 ways to injure yourself out there. I tend to think that if you don't have good enough judgement to stay within your ability out there it's not so much a question of getting hurt or not, just what you are going to hurt yourself on.

If we made the event so safe that the people among us with the poorest judgement were safe it wouldn't be nearly as fun.

And fwiw one reason they kept the ramp simple and low was so art cars could take a turn on it, as they often do.
