Could I get EVERYONE to cooperate for one hour?

I was at a live concert the other night and I was really overwhelmed by Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, and I immediately thought how amazing it would be to hear that during a sunrise on the playa. Which got me wondering what all it would take to make it a really satisfying experience. I can't believe it would work with the usual ooontz ooontz in the background. So I realized we could get the same music everywhere if we could get everyone to play what was on BMIR some morning from say 5:30-6. Then get BMIR to play that piece that morning. I think it could be really mind blowing to have that piece played all over the playa some morning at sunrise. But I suspect getting all of the burn to cooperate, even just for one hour, is just unrealistic. Anyone think this could actually be pulled off?

With a minimum of snark, I would recommend an ipod and a really good set of headphones. It will give you the experience you want without expecting everyone else to want to share it. Everyone wins.

Yep, I suspect headphones will be the way to go. With all the music on the playa, I never thought of bringing them, but it makes perfect sense.

And yeah, I've never really been a big fan of dead composers either. I was just surprised by this one piece I heard live. I've no doubt heard it before, but was previously distracted by the dancing. Hearing it without ballet was refreshing.

To me sunrise is more Bruckner's Symphony #4. Nice build, dramatic but with soft interludes. Love this symphony- however, it's not the playa at all. It may be Yggy's hof, but it's definitely not the playa

b) It's actually in the rules they give you upon entrance. Not the BRC Survival Guide, but one of the other sheets. No music or generators for an hour before & during the Temple burn.
