So Cal Burners Art and Performance 2011

Hey there everyone!

I live out in Ventura.... 2011 will be my first burn!

I am very excited but want to contribute my free evenings to helping people out with art or performance ideas ect....

Since it is my first burn I don't feel comfortable leading a project but am looking for a group who might be interested in making something magical happen:)

I tried to reach out to the LA regional and the emails keep getting bummed back to me.

Any guidance on how I can link up with people close by who may be interested ?

It is Impossible that the LA Calif Regionals are not active

You are not applying to the regionals mailing list properly

You should keep trying until you get it right...it took me a couple of tries for my regional mailing lists to begin working

Once on, Wow! a LOT of great stuff arrives by email frequently, well worth it!

LA Regionals are too BIG & Metro to not exist

You might try looking north. SLO at o ne point had a fairly active community.

The LA regional posts quite a bit of stuff on facebook, if you're on there. I seem to get more updates from that than the mailing list.

There's a ton of stuff going on, but it seems to be pretty decentralized. These places have alot of burner events, might be a good place to meet people and find out about possible projects.

Also, The Do Lab promotes a lot of burner type events and even have a festival at the beginning of the summer (Lightning in a Bottle)
