I think we need to be patient for a couple more months... I dont remember exactly but I think the 2010 street names came out sometime in late June or early July (around the same time the city map came out).

I went back and looked at a thread from last year, and we had the map and names by The 1st of July.. So hopefully it is coming soon!!

Perhaps we should each make signs with the names the way we like them and swap them out early. Like Sunday night before the gates open.

Depends on what you mean (not being snarky for once!):

If you want to know where the off-playa work is done: it depends on who is building the Temple. The Temple for this year is based out of Reno, so that's where the prep work is being done. When it was David Best it was done (I believe) in the SF Bay Area somewhere. If it was being built by a crew from Toronto, they'd probably do the prep work there.

On playa it's built right where they burn it. Kinda big to move around.

Oh- there's only one "Temple". There may be other buildings that look like temples, or other buildings or camps that have "spiritual" connections (like Sacred Village), but only one building is recognized as the Temple, no matter what it looks like, so no descriptive is needed after it in a Burner context.

Sorry, forgot you were a first timer. Look at the map, the Man is the big circle dead center, the little circle "above" him in the middle of nowhere is the Temple. If there was a road there it would be Esplanade & 12, but Esplanade ends at 2 & 10.

There is a road that goes to the man from 3, 6 & 9, the 6:00 road keeps extending to the Temple, then past it to another major art piece (not sure what piece it is this year)

Camping is only allowed in the city or in "walk in camping", which behind the farthest street on the 3 side. You can see the scattered tents in the gigapan image.

So, while no official camping.. no one ever said that you couldn't make yourself comfy out there..
