Risk or buying will call ticket last minute

I might buy a will call ticket now and transfer the name at will call using copies of drivers license and credit card. I want to be certain that the ticket will be transfered to my name before I buy it so the seller can't sell it more then once by giving out copies of their drivers license and credit card. What is the last hour and day that tickets can be transferred by fax before arriving at will call? How long does the process take?
Do people get scammed by sellers selling the same last minute will call ticket more then once?

You have to have the actual photo ID to pick up a will call ticket.
