I'm very worried

Postby Marscrumbs » Wed Jan 13, 2010 12:32 pm

Got online with only a two minute delay to the wait page. Then got my first tier tickets after one hour with no bugs or redirects without the whole global internet crashing or freezing. There must be somthing wrong. This can't be the real Burning Man ticket site. We must have been phished!!

My wife was in and out of the ticket purchasing process in exactly 18 minutes. VERY smooth this year. She began refreshing the page at 9:58 and was #582 in the queue right at 10am. Nice work, BM tech team!

Luckily my gf had left her laptop open. She logged in at 10:02 so she was about 500 people behind me. When mine crashed, I went to her laptop, and got the tickets. Got my confirmation email. :)

If you were successfully online at exactly 10am PST, and you didn't make any mistakes, and you were lucky, you got tier 1. EVERYBODY else is SOL.

I'm just glad I can afford to go.

I had to wait until after work before I could even try, and both 1st and 2nd tier were sold out by then. Got a 3rd tier around 15:50 PST. I knew I would miss out on the 1st tier tix right away, but I was kind of surprised that I couldn't even get 2nd tier. Oh well, at least I'm going again. There was no queue for 3rd tier tix, just went right through.
