what is the exact URL for the first level ticket sale? does the tickets.burningman.com page offer the link once the sale starts?

you can go to the ticket page, and, there is a place to click and check your browser to make sure it's compatible with the ticketing software.

oh, sorry, I mis understood.
it's not the "live link", it just tests to see that your browser and machine will work with their stuff.

the purchase link shows up, IIRC, on the morning of the sale.

What am I missing? there is nothing on the tickets page...

Edit...

Nevermind... not sure how I missed the button at the bottom of the page. That was a waste of 5 minutes.

Fastest onlnie puchase to date!

Postby dougnaka » Wed Jan 13, 2010 11:36 am

Good job, this was the fastest, smoothest, bestest, ticket purchasing online year I've seen.

Also, I like that the only option for US shipping was Secure USPS, no confusing and hand wringing about other methods.

I had been a skeptic with the new method the past couple years, but I think you've finally nailed it.

Kudos, props, and cheers all around.

lucky you. i have been camped on there for over 1/2 hour and not seen the "line in front of me" drop to less than 8,000. Seems and feels pointless...

If you're having trouble seeing the button, it's likely your browser is showing you the cached page. Use this link to get right into the queue:

I'm in, went quite smoothly........

Grazelda:
sometimes, the counter "ahead of you" will get stuck, it did on my last year........the number is going down, but, for some reason, it doesn't show up.

great job ticket team, thanks for all your hard work.

Strane:
you gotta refresh, and, make sure your on the ticket page.......and, go all the way to the bottom of the page to find the button.

some folks have missed the above.

Tickets.BurningMan.com Not Updated after 50 Minutes!!!

Postby jasut » Wed Jan 13, 2010 11:53 am

I have been refreshing Tickets.BurningMan.com and it has not updated with a link/button on the bottom of the page after 50 Minutes!!!

Then I realized others were in queue from posts here.

Then I realized that the updated page with the button is Tickets2.BurningMan.com.

What the secret link???

what's very not clear from the 'number in line ahead of you' is whether that is the number of tickets remaining. it suddenly dropped to 6500 - but what if there are only 5,000 tickets available and I am 6510 in the queue...

Broken link?

Postby masterbrook » Wed Jan 13, 2010 12:00 pm

That link takes me to a ticket page, where it claims that I am in line, but the little box right below that says "Ooops... the link appears to be broken". I have enabled javascript and cookies.

Does this mean i'm not really in line??

Tickets?

Postby WTF » Wed Jan 13, 2010 12:14 pm

WTF?? I have been online for over an hour and it keeps 'timing out'. I have spoken to four other people that are having the same problem. Do you think the folks on this forum are from the Bay Area and have an advantage? I know one person that got in and he is in San Mateo. WTF? I think this process still sucks!
