We present...

Minitropolis - the basterd child of the MEGATROPOLIS deep playa project and the Black Rock International Burner Hostel of old... now with more pub!

Friendly, relaxed, easygoing and with a metric, even an imperial shit-ton of gear, Minitropolis focuses on providing a fully featured basecamp experience, central location, and an dizzying array of facilities to keep our campmates happy n content, thus enabling one and all to both enjoy the burn themselves while making it even better for our neighbourhood and the city at large...

To that end, we like to provide lots of fun n games for our community, so we'll be rocking a british/irish pub experience this year, The Rising Arms, where the Guinness will flow like soup and we play proper British Darts, the kind that are sharp...

We are also the support camp for a dangerously ambitious art project,

how dare you disparage our awesome pub with your suggestions sir!
we will be bringing at least 3 six-packs and a bucket of warm slops that will be gifted to any thirsty soul who wants it...

and we don't camp, sir - we transplend...

I've managed to scrape some funds together and will be bringing a cooler too. I also intend to bring some concrete blocks and a varnished plank of wood for the pub bar. We'll put a curtain across the front and then we can hide the cooler behind the bar.

We're sooo gonna rock!

have an RV that could be used for whatever if necessary

looking for somewhere to camp and minitropolis looks ideal

Stumbled across minitropolis this year with some instafriends at the burn and had a mind blowing experience. Thank you so much for putting in the work and working on the pub for this amazing spot. Please tell me you are already working on making 2011 bigger and better? I'll bring my own six pack...of hoops :D

I have a pretty epic plan for a traveling light show for the next burn as well. You should DM me and we can see if there may be a way to intertwine our minds, I gotta home at MIT who has been experimenting a lot with light and movement with elements of sound.
