Reruns of Artwork?

Reruns of Artwork?

Postby fuzymnky » Wed Jun 30, 2010 7:51 am

Does artwork ever return to the playa on a different year? It that lame? I know mutant vehicles often go back. And some things I wish would return have not... but what about installations? This will be my 3rd burn, and I feel like a newbee still. Just looking for random input... jaded or not.

Lots of stuff returns.

Cubatron is running six years or so.
Shiva Vista ran three years.
The bone tree over a decade.
Goat Truth several years.
Center camp cauldron is a repeat.
Lots more.

Just do it.

Some pieces come back, some don't. Nothing wrong with it either way.

The bone tree is one of my favorites. It comes back from time to time:

It is splendid and very playa appropriate.

I hope they move it to frog pond as a permanent installation.

Frog pond is private land, it would get torn up there.

Yeah and Larry at al bought it last year. The news is burried somewhere on the blog site.

They are planning on building a year round art collective there or some silly hippie commune thing.

I personally think its a grand retirement home for the aging llc members.

Whoopsy! Bad Token!

It was Fly Springs, not Frog Pond.

Sorry, my bad.

Replace Fly Springs for Frog pond in my previous posts.

The link to the BLM document works. Doesn't look like Fly was in the deal.
