Yo Wayne...not excusing the action that happened to your fair french friend...but you must understand that...its not necessarily the BAR that is doing it, matter of fact that would actually be a pretty good slap in the face for any theme camp bar.
I would suggest that it was more then likely someone sitting and watching your friend...IN THE BAR.

I too had this horrid thing happen to me in 06' out at the man burn...in the crowd, I, stupid Virgin, walked into with fun plastic wine glass with NO TOP!!!!!

I was Dosed with GHB I assume...for 5 minutes later, nadda nothing no mans land. Luckily for me, I was so high all of the suidden I spilt the other 1/2 the drink. So I didnt receive the whole dose!!!! But someone robbed me of my first burningman experience...I have absolutely no knowledge of the man burning to this day, other then the pictures that were taken.


And...this wasn't technically "I dose this chick and rape her later gig", this was some fucking yahoo's idea of funny?

This was someone just being a fucking bastard.

oh yeah, and please dont get me wrong pwrchair because i know you're not serious. but during decompression is when quite a few headcases get close to the edge, and you never know when or why one's going to loose thier shit and call the cops. wierd, because it happens.

i can imagine theres some random nutjob thats wired antenna cat ears to pick up on the vibe of the eplaya, and the cat starts screaming at him to call 911.

Powerchair - that sure is a sucky "welcome [to default world] home". And that's particularly lame that someone dosed your campmate. I used a sippy cup and was very careful about watching as it was filled, but sometimes stuff still happens.

At one point people were laughing at me because I didn't want to drink the water someone had put in my sippy cup because it tasted like bananas. I think that there was simply a banana in the cooler, but it was weird....and I hesitated. And then folks laughed... I laughed too but didn't drink the rest of my water.

Getting dosed sucks. Some advice, though, if it happens to someone you are with is to be a good trip captain to your friend first and worry about the asshole that dosed her later (and of course, making sure they get some medical attention as necessary). I know it seems weird to say, but what may be a very weird, terrifying, and unwanted experience can be made a positive one with a little TLC, putting your anger behind you and helping your friend have a positive experience instead of a negative one.

Treating someone who is dosed like an invalid, which is usually the first reaction, may create the opposite outcome. I'm not criticizing here, just saying that I've seen people dosed with the same crap journey through the looking glass of a chemical induced haze and exit the experience with irreverance and whimsy vs. earning a "playa horror story" notch in their belt IMHO partly because of the attitude and support of the people they were with.

The next day, hunt down the bastard who dosed her and beat him with a tire iron...or at least cut their camp's power cables.
