Hi Everyone,

We're putting up a tango and blues camp this year and would love to see all you Tango and Blues dancers get involved. I've created a Facebook group called "Tangoed up in Blues" and a website will follow.

A large GP tent, 18'x54' will be in main dance / social venue. We'd love to get a lot of people involved this year (DJ'ing, teaching, helping set up, take down, perform...) So if you're interested let me know.

Oooo - i remember being on a cruise ship and a blues club took a group cruise at the same time. they would set up a sound system on the lido deck late at night and start dancing. I joined in a couple times, but man... i could have watched them dance all night.

as for what type of dance... i'd say a mix of different genres, but it's HOT. really HOT.

I looked up blues dancing cause I had never heard of it.
It reminds me a little bit of tango, but tango is a lot more articulate it seems.
But blues dancing looks more fun!

I don't know too much about samba, but I can shake my hips and wiggle whatever when the music moves me. As for blues, it's my personal favorite. My original camp fell apart recently (farmers are too fickle to make plans). I would love to join up, I'm a damn good cook, a hard worker and a decent yoga teacher as well... Please let me know more...

THE NAME OF THIS CAMP IS THE BEST THING I HAVE SEEN ON EPLAYA IN A LONG TIME.

Also, get "You Can't Judge a Book By it's Cover" by Bo Diddley playing if you really want to get the place jumping. Man, if I had a nickel for every time I danced naked to that song, I would have 35 cents.

Wow, this made my day! I was hoping there'd be blues somewhere on the playa. And I've been meaning to learn some Tango. Now I just hope I save some time to see the rest of Burning Man.

Offering 1000' of dance floor, and 24hr tango and blues music.

Daily Schedule (Monday-Thursday):
Monday
2-3 Tango "all levels" (meaning we'll teach with material appropriate for everyone who comes)
3-4 Blues all levels

Tuesday
2-3 Tango all levels
3-4 Blues all levels

Wednesday (aka Tango day)
2-3 Tango all levels
3-4 Tango Level 2

Thursday (aka Blues day)
2-3 Blues all levels
3-4 Blues Level 2

Performance time 8-9pm
Drop in lesson 9-10pm
Dance 10pm-5am

Dance Schedule:
Monday naked milonga
Tuesday nakedl blues dance
Wednesday milonga
Thursday blues dance

Oh yeah, and it's all powered by wind. Offering grey water disposal for our misting system and showers.

Tangoe'd up in Blues put on a great camp. I learned that blues can be danced to and very intimately indeed. I have been drawn to social dancing, but really hadn't connected with the accompanying music. Blues dancing brings together social dancing and the music that I love the best.

Thanks for one of the most enjoyable and exciting times ever!

i body painted a girl that was a part of your camp - cute chick with short hair - did her front and back.
