anyhow ... i was thinking this morning about barbarians of the future, the post-technology kind, sort of mad max like ... but there has already been a lot of that at BM, hasn't there?

so are we going for a more anachronistic barbarian, or is the interpretation of barbarian open? will boffer chain saws be allowed?

Maybe pre-technology? I haven't seen very much of that.
A truly low-tech camp wouldn't be very comfortable for most, the best we could do would be to conceal obvious 21st century-isms. Is that OK?

A gyre is any manner of swirling vortex, particularly large-scale wind and ocean currents. Gyres are caused by the Coriolis effect; planetary vorticity along with horizontal and vertical friction which determine the circulation patterns from the wind curl (torque).[

of course i was referring more to style than lifestyle when i asked about anachronistic barbarians! i can just see the trouble that would be caused if i was the only barbarian who snuck in a cooler full of beer or bacon or something.
