Littleflower, just slit up the sides, down the front, leave a bit to the imagination and revel in a semblance of historical accuracy.

Last night I had ribs. "Hmmm..." I thought, eyeing my empty plate. "Bones." So I wrapped them up in a napkin and took them home, to add to my fur ensemble somehow (I think using an awl for holes might crack 'em...could carve runes in 'em, to give away...possibilities are endless).

Just keep an eye out all the time, everywhere...your outfit(s) will come together.

chicken-bone sign is still in the planning stages! actually, i plan to roast a couple chickens and freeze the meat, for playa fare... make stock out of the bones, some of which may end up in a pot of pre-cooked playa chili ... THEN bleach the bones and use them on a sign. home depot had some wood scraps, but i am still thinking of trying to find something that looks a little more beat up.

also ... i looked for burlap at home depot and couldn't find it. in the garden section? that place is so damn big .... or do you have enough for several structures, to make them look a little more barbarianish?

CFM, a hot nail will burn a clean hole thru bone like a heated paperclip thru a fingernail to relieve a bloodblister.

When I was a scout we used round ham bones as neckerchief rings. We burned in designs with woodburning wands. But they don't let kids do that now, someone will get hurt and sue.

Have "Barbarian Camp" in Conan-movie font, and have a sword going through "Camp" like the word 'Conan' in the "Conan The Barbarian" movie title
