I used to play in Markland! Yeah, they were a fun bunch, didn't take themselves too seriously.

Dagorhir uses foam boffers in their combat. No head shots, so nobody needs helmets really. It's supposed to be live-action roleplaying, but mostly they just hit each other with things that look rather unlike swords.

Probably you're thinking of "boffer".

Most of them start with PVC shafts, then you wrap them with foam rubber (I prefer closed-cell). I'll be visiting the House of Foam in Palo Alto soon for some blocks of ethafoam.

Apparently only the scent of meals past is enough for them to go after a car.
I saw viddy of the very same campground I had stayed in at Yosemite, and I saw a bear peel a door off a car, and not with the hinges, but top down.
Then he ate the entire interior of the car.
